Our Pet Fish

Meet Fifi! This fish was only 1/4 its size when we got him on December. Now, he's a big boy! He eats a lot! Lately though, he doesn't eat that much. He's a humpy head with Chinese characters, but they're not visible, yet. This fish is very weird that I thought it has a mental disorder. Could fishes have mental disorders?

Fifi is also a serial killer. He has already killed three fishes of the same kind, his siblings. He attacks them nonstop. He's a bully. He takes advantage of his size and attacks his smaller siblings. When we transfer them to another aquarium, they're already too week. Sadly, they didn't survive.
Despite Fifi's killer instinct, I still take care of this fish. I clean his aquarium and change his water. I feed him everyday. It's actually good that we have pets. I'm weird, but I talk to them. I'm not that close to Fifi, though. I love dogs as pets more than fishes. But, my dream is to own a wolf or a panda bear as my pet. How about you? What are your pets? What are your dream pets?

BIG BANG OFFICIAL "BLUE" MV

BIGBANG – BLUE

*The winter had passed
And the spring has come
We have withered
And our hearts are bruised from longing
**(I’m singing my blues)
Used to the blue tears, blue sorrow
(I’m singing my blues)
The love that I have sent away with the floating clouds, oh oh
Under the same sky, at different places
Because you and I are dangerous
I am leaving you
One letter difference from ‘nim’^
It’s cowardly but I’m hiding because I’m not good enough
Cruel breakup is like the end of the road of love
No words can comfort me
Perhaps my lifetime’s last melodrama
Now its final curtain is coming down
I was born and I met you
And I have loved you to death
My cold heart that has been dyed blue
Even with my eyes closed, I can’t feel you
*Repeat
**Repeat
I feel like my heart has stopped beating
You and I, frozen there, after a war
Trauma, that has been carved in my head
Once these tears dry up, I will moistly remember my love
I’m neither painful nor lonely
Happiness is all self-talk
I can’t stand something more complicated
It’s no big deal, I don’t care
Inevitable wandering, people come and go
I was born and I met you
And I have loved you to death
My cold heart that has been dyed blue
Even if you have left, I’m still here
*Repeat
Again tonight, underneath that blue moonlight
I will probably fall asleep alone
Even in my dreams, I look for you
And wander around while singing this song
**Repeat (X2)

Set Fire to the Rain

Nope, it's not Adele's song. I actually like Chester See's cover of Set Fire to the Rain more than Adele's original version. I think I'm simply in love with Chester that I tend to like every single thing about him. Please do check out Chester's youtube videos. He's funny, handsome, and talented.

I am so I'm burned out. I have yet to study for our exams on International Relations and Cebuano Politics, but hey, I'm watching Big Bang's Big Show concert 2011 instead. I'm too excited for their comeback.

Found these shots of fire using different settings in my camera phone. Took them last November. I am sending out a message to myself and to all of you. Even if it rains, don't let your fire die out. Keep your fire and flames burning. Be driven, fueled, and ignited to achieve your dreams. Believe.

P.S.
Listen to DragonForce's Through the Fire and Flames. It's one of the greatest rock songs, ever.
So far away, we wait for the day
For the lives all so wasted and gone
We feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days
Through the fire and the flames, we carry on

Sea Turtle's Lagoon at Tabogon, Cebu

Pardon me for my backlog post. Last Saturday, February 11, was my cousin's 16th birthday. Her name is Hinah. She's a very playful, humorous girl. I guess that's why we are close, because we're kind of the same in terms of insanity and immaturity. She celebrated her birthday at Tabogon. It's up north! Her mommy's aunt is the owner of the Sea Turtle's Lagoon or Villanueva Property in Tabogon. I have already made a post about this paradise *click click* last, last year.

I'm not really in the mood of blabbing right now, because I'm too caught up with City Hunter. The reason why I haven't made time to make a post about this is because I aimed to finish watching the whole series. City Hunter is the best Korean drama ever made, by far. I swear by this. Just like Naruto being the best anime ever. Excuse me for being off-topic. Thus, here are a bunch of photos that I took there using my camera phone. The weather was gloomy and rainy on that day.

Since our camera is dysfunctional in taking pictures, yet functional in taking videos, I took videos of the wonderful place instead. Here's a video of my attempt to a 360-degree coverage of the area. My voice sounds weird and I keep saying "awesome". I'm cray cray!

Here's another video featuring the strong waves. I keep saying "yup yup", "strong waves", and "awesome". Again, I'm crazy! I also practiced movie maker. Song used: Part of Me by Katy Perry.

Hope you find the place AWESOME! It's definitely fun, relaxing, and affordable for family or barkada trips.  It's almost summer. Plan your next summer destination. This one is a must-visit. The place is very peaceful, because it used to be private and had just opened up for public last year. By the way, I heard that the entrance fee is only Php25. And no corkage fee! Haha. You can bring as many food as you like, preferably cooked. You may also ask assistance from the people there. They are very helpful.

If you're interested, you can email me for inquiries about the travel time, transport, fees,
and other expenses at marsgd24@gmail.com ..that's marsgd24(at)gmail(dot)com
I will try my very best to contact the owner, or at least my aunt, who is the niece of the owner.

Valentine's Day

I have a grudge on valentine's because of what happened last year. I thought, where the fudge is cupid when you need him the most? I mean, what's the big deal about valentine's day? Why make such a huge fuss about it? However, I would want to drive the bad vibes away and let the good vibes in. I don't wanna dwell in the past, though I must admit, the pain will always be here, lurking inside my wounded heart. I will not let the existential vacuum drag me back. I have to respond to it as positively as possible. I must move forward.

On that note, I started to reminisce how I treated Valentine's day in the past. Wow! I was such a romantic daughter, friend, and student. I used to create a valentine card full of glued  red cut-out hearts. I would write a love letter to my Mama and Papa. I also used to buy lots of chocolates that I would give to my family, my friends, and my favorite teachers. I deserve a hug for being a sweet kid. Thus, this year, I gave my Mama a cute valentine's gift.

With that, my gloomy Valentine's day brightened. Also, thanks to my friends who celebrated pre-Valentine's date with me. Tombs Society, you made me so happy! Additionally, thanks to my Kuya, my Kuya's wife, and Baby Dime for yet another pre-Valentine's dinner date. I was so full, my tummy could explode anytime. Moreover, I'm grateful to my Mama for having a Valentine's dinner date with me, which turned into a romantic candle-light dinner. Thanks to the unexpected brownout! Most importantly, thank you God for granting my valentine's wish. Lakers won today's game! When I believe, everything falls perfectly into place.

PC Stores and Service Centers

Remember me blabbing about my frustrating laptop? I have submitted it for repair. After a week or so, the service center called the house, telling I could pick it up on Monday (Feb 6). Unfortunately, my week is fully loaded. I cannot find a spare time to pick it up. Fortunately, we had no Spanish class on Thursday, so I took the time to fetch my baby laptop waiting for me. He must have been scared of the earthquake last Monday.

Mama came with me. We planned to have dinner at Matias after, since it's near the service center. After picking up the laptop, Mama and I were already so hungry, but it was too early for dinner. So we ate snacks at Lots'a Pizza, which is also near Matias. However, our plan failed as my brother couldn't have dinner with us. He and his friends were on their way to have their dinner somewhere else. Boo. Matias dinner canceled to a later date. Anyway, Matias is an affordable barbecue restaurant in Mandaue City.

checking my laptop at Lots'a Pizza

On to my laptop. I'm so satisfied with the work of the service center, TEKZONE. I've been there twice. The first time I submitted my lappy for repair last December, they only updated the BIOS, so the problem still kept on manifesting. I didn't pay a single dime, unlike going to this certain PC store. I bought my laptop there because they sell it for a cheaper price. But when I first came to them for help, the technician asked me 500 pesos. Sadly, he wasn't able to fix my laptop. I guess this is common in other PC stores. Not sure, though. So I resorted to Tekzone, as I've read many good reviews about them. I did my research.

I came back to Tekzone, since my laptop is still blacking out. This time, they replaced my lappy's LCD and motherboard for free! Yes, free, because it's still under warranty. They are so great. They didn't charge any service fee. Plus, LCD and motherboards are expensive, so paying nothing is amazing! Moreover, so far, the problem hasn't manifested. I hope it will never black out, again. The only problem I encountered after is that it won't shut down. I've read forums about this problem. It's common after BIOS update. I've tried some of the solutions, myself. So far, it's acting fine. Please Lord God. I hope my laptop is fine, now. I believe my laptop will be perfectly functional, forever. I have no money for future repairs or to buy another.

Tekzone is an Asus Authorized Service Center. They charge zero fee for repairs on PC's under warranty. They are located at Trader's Arcade on Hernan Cortes St., Mandaue City, Cebu. You can see the complete list of ASUS-authorized service centers here. However, the address of Tekzone needs to be updated in the site. Almost lost my way to Tekzone the first time, because the building is now called Trader's Arcade or Trader's Hill.

DIY Fringe Shirt

Welcome to another chapter of my DIY groove. It's been so long.

When I raided my closet to rearrange my messy, disorganized clothes last sembreak, I found few pieces that I haven't worn for a very long time. They look boring to me, now, so I junked them, again. After window shopping with Anina last Friday, I told myself to DIY some of my old shirts. So come Saturday night, I grabbed my old Artwork shirt, a pair of scissors, and I turned it into a fringe shirt, inspired by Forever 21 fringe shirts.

What you'll need:
Old Shirt

Scissors

Steps:
1. Cut the seamed bottom part of your shirt.

2. Cut fringes. Length and measurement are all up to you.

3. Pull each fringe.
Why? Because after cutting, the fringes would look like those on the right side of the photo. To make the fringes look like those on the left side, you have to pull each ends - to achieve that perfect fringe look.

Voila!

I also cut the seamed part of the shoulders and the neckline to make the shirt look more casual, but it's all up to you. Feel free do anything to your shirt. Be creative!

Tombs Society will be doing some DIY projects on our pre-Valentine's date tomorrow, together with our music video shoot for our Spanish class. Tik Tok!

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!
I'm single. TEEHEE
